I chose to document, in a 24 hour period, who, what, where, and when I laugh out loud. Each time that someone, other than myself, made me laugh out loud, I took a picture of him or her, wrote down the time and the joke. Taking a picture of the joke was somewhat awkward because I would have to pause the conversation to turn on my camera and take a picture, which would completely change the pace and direction of the conversation. After a little while of taking pictures, the people I was talking to would start competing for me to take a photo of them. Sometimes they would become frustrated that, although they had said something funny, I had not thought it funny enough to take a picture of. I only took pictures of jokes that really made me laugh instead of chuckle or smile. It was very strange for me to quantify the amount I laugh. Before this project, I knew I laughed out loud a lot, and that I chuckled and, unfortunately, giggled a lot more, but I never knew how much of a prolific laugher I was.
